Arrangements during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak

Please help us to keep our staff and clients safe during this uncertain period with coronavirus, in order to keep the practice open and to provide a service to your pets.

We are a small practice and losing one member of staff means we are down by 25% and may be forced to close, so we are taking sensible precautions to avoid this.

In all cases if your pet requires medical attention call us for advice first.

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE PRACTICE IF:

  • You/your household are in isolation
  • Have travelled from a high risk area
  • Have a cold or flu symptoms
  • Have a fever (high temperature)
  • Have a persistent cough
  • Have had recent contact with suspected or confirmed coronavirus infection

If you are visiting the practice you may prefer to wait in your car for your appointment, in which case phone us when you arrive and we will call you when we are ready to see you.

Consultations are strictly limited to one person per pet, and please do not bring children.

We will be postponing any non-urgent or routine appointments.

There are some conditions for which we can do a telephone consultation, for which normal consultation fees apply.  In this case we can dispense any medications over the counter to be collected.  We will let you know when you call for an appointment if this is an option.

For in person consultations please make sure you wash your hands well before coming to the practice.  Ask a member of staff if you require hand washing facilities in the practice.

Allow extra time for us to order in repeat prescriptions as we do not know if or when there may be disruptions in supplies. Please plan ahead if your pet relies on a repeat prescription.

Thank you for cooperation and understanding during this period.  We will do our best to continue to provide the service our clients know us for: Help us to keep this possible by following the above guidelines.

If you have any questions please contact the surgery on 0121 572 6527.
